What is A Linear Weigher?
A linear weighing machine is a type of dosing device that uses a set of load cells to determine the weight of products, the load cells are connected with the weigh hoppers. The vibrating channels deliver the products to hoppers continuously then hoppers measure the preset weight.
Compared with multihead weigher, the biggest difference is that the hoppers of linear weighers do not work together for a weight combination, each hopper weighs and dumps the products as preset weight.
This type of weighing scale is used for weighing granular products. Its working principle is different with multihead weighers as its hoppers work independently.
Linear weighers are composed of several components, one working unit including a feeding pan, hopper and load cell. The feeding pan deliver the products to hopper, then hoppers which connect with load cell measure the weight of the item. When the actual weight reaches to the set weight, the feeding pan stop and hopper opens to fill products.
